A Great Fly Rod At An Unbelievable Price

Bob Kloskowski

In June of 1999 I was attending a Conclave of the International Fly Fishing Association on the Green River in Utah. My name was drawn as the winner of a G. Loomis GL 3 fly rod blank. The model that I won is the F1085 which is a nine foot, two piece, five weight fly rod. I've always owned and used Sage Fly Rods and prior to winning the Loomis blank I'd only cast this brand a few times.
During the past month I found a little spare time between tying flies and fishing the Spring Creeks in Paradise Valley to build my G. Loomis GL3 fly rod.
I took it out on the stream about a week ago and couldn't believe what a pleasure it was to cast. The action was beautiful. The line shot through the guides effortlessly. Truly a great casting and fishing instrument. I plan to purchase another GL 3 perhaps a 6 foot six inch or 7 foot 3 weight. If you are just beginning or have been fishing for years I urge you to try the G.Loomis GL3 fly rods. You won't be disappointed and at only $112 for the blank that I built it's a steal.
I would recommend this rod to everyone.
