Artist Sandra Phifer of Tucson Arizona USA has made her print "Bill's Brookie" available to everyone. This photo-realistic colored pencil drawing was based on a photo of a trophy Brook Trout caught by IFFA Member Bill McManis in October of 2006.

About the print: "Bill's Brookie" Your print will be personally signed by the artist and is available only through the IFFA web site. The "Bill's Brookie" print was created using archival quality inks on Arches Cold Pressed watercolor paper and has a life expectancy of over one hundred years, if kept out of direct sunlight. Hi, I'm Barry Perkins. I have lived close to the Mataura River for over 20 years so I have an extensive knowledge of the area and the Mataura River.

Let me guide you as you fish some of the best brown trout water in New Zealand. Not only can I show you great fishing on the Mataura River, but also many other rivers and streams less than an hours drive from Gore.

I have been fishing since I was a young boy, and over the last few years as a Bed and Breakfast host and fishing guide, have met many people from all over the world who have become good friends.

The Mataura River offers the best 'match the hatch' fishing in New Zealand. You will need long leaders and fine tippets (3-4lb).
If you like a challenge the Mataura won't disappoint you.

New Zealand is regarded as a trout fishing mecca, we offer spectacular scenery and some of the best fishing for wild
brown trout in the world.
